Data is a cornerstone of ING’s strategy to become one digital bank. We need high-quality, granular data to manage bank-wide processes, modeling, and decision-making effectively. Data Operations is the engine driving this strategy, continually enhancing our data management capabilities.

Your Role

In response to an increased appetite for data consumption and regulatory demands for data quality, the Global Data Quality team is responsible for ensuring high standards of data quality across ING. You will work closely with Data Quality Product Owners based in the Netherlands and ING Hubs Romania, facilitating collaboration among local data domains and data-consuming parties. Your responsibilities include:

• Leading a product portfolio (e.g., Finance), ensuring adherence to all data quality phases (design, implement, monitor, improve).
• Collaborating with the Product Lead of Data Quality, data owners, data users, and IT stakeholders to align requirements for new data quality controls and dashboards.
• Building consensus across cross-functional partners to accelerate decision-making.
• Prioritizing and managing the product portfolio team backlog, ensuring project oversight and progress tracking.
• Collaborating with Data Platform & Delivery teams for technical alignment and execution.
• Defining and monitoring data quality metrics, reporting regularly to management.
• Driving the implementation of Data Quality (DQ) tools for monitoring and dashboard solutions.
• Contributing to business plans, QBRs, KPI forecasting, and resource allocation.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Expertise in Data Management.
• Experience in the financial or consulting sector and/or non-financial risk domain.
• Ability to navigate a complex, international landscape.
• High analytical skills with the ability to swiftly identify core issues.
• Organizational sensitivity, capable of collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, and a passion for numbers.
• Strong network within the bank and an understanding of our culture and way of working.
• Customer-focused approach and ability to build trust with senior leadership.
• Proven success in establishing executive relationships and influencing decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills, with outstanding English proficiency both written and verbal.
