Job Description

As part of its development in the Lyon region, Sia Partners wishes to recruit local Data Scientist consultants for its Lyon office.

Guided by experienced consultants, they will be in charge of, in synergy with our various practices, tasks and missions requiring the implementation of complex models to support our clients in their challenges related to:

  • Machine learning and statistics: development of explanatory and predictive decision-support models (supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, econometrics, forecasting, quantitative diagnosis, ...)

  • Operational research: assistance in the design and implementation of constraint optimization solutions and simulation models

  • Big Data: algorithmic knowledge for processing large volumes of unstructured data

As part of the internal activities of the firm, your participation revolves around the following areas:

  • The development or strengthening of our offers through training, work groups, dissemination of internal and external supports...

  • The publication policy (sector blogs, studies, press releases...)

  • The business development by contributing to the definition of needs and participating in commercial actions.

Qualifications

You have a degree in Engineering School or a high-level training in the field of information processing, statistical engineering and econometrics and you ideally have a first experience in Big Data or Data Science (internship or first job)

You have an excellent level in statistics and quantitative analysis (theoretical and practical knowledge, intuition, ease in understanding models and applying them)

You master programming in R (or equivalent: SAS, Matlab…) and have solid basics in scripting languages (Python, Perl, JS, bash) or compiled (C++, Java) and/or have experience in UNIX/LINUX environments

You want to get involved and quickly take on responsibilities for high-added-value missions within a dynamic structure.

You have excellent teamwork skills, an open mind, analytical skills, and wish to join a professional and motivating environment where you will share our values of excellence, entrepreneurship, innovation, a culture of sharing, benevolence, work-life balance.

Business level French and English is essential.
