Internship Overview

As an integral part of the Philips Healthtech Innovation Paris (HIP), located in the heart of Paris, you'll have the unique opportunity to work at an innovation hub dedicated to medical image and data processing utilizing Artificial Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

Your primary tasks will involve:

• Collaborating with Data Scientists and Doctors to understand clinical challenges and define technical approaches that yield the most positive impacts.
• Identifying necessary data and annotations to address defined research projects, and establishing a structured data management system.
• Developing an AI model, including potential pre and post-processing algorithms, while documenting assumptions and potential biases.
• Validating the model through verification of validation dataset integrity, defining evaluation metrics, and generating evaluation reports.

Team Environment

You will join a team of approximately 30 engineer-researchers dedicated to developing innovative solutions using Machine Learning and AI for medical image processing to enhance radiological patient care.

What You'll Bring to the Role

Suitable candidates should have:

• A Master’s degree in Engineering/Master of Research specialized in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, Image Processing, or equivalent.
• A strong background in statistics, machine learning models (ML), deep learning (DL), language models (LLM), and image processing/computer vision.
• Proficiency in Python; familiarity with TensorFlow, Keras, or PyTorch.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Fluency in both English and French is mandatory.
