We are seeking to hire a co-op to the Data Science Research team and to help us explore new feature possibilities, optimize current pipelines, and analyze the broad range of data that powers the Intelligence Cloud. You will analyze various data types (structured and text), produce research documents varying from new data source assessment to describing new algorithms, and write Python code to support these initiatives.
This is a full-time opportunity for approximately 40 hours per week from January 2024 through May/June 2024.
What you will do as a Data Science Research Analyst Intern:
- Conduct investigations into new data sources and feature development, and clearly communicate outcomes
- Generate resilient Python code to deliver data artifacts within larger systems
- Interface with product management about your projects
- Directly collaborate with engineers to productionize prototype code and ensure underlying logic is applied at scale
What you will bring as a Data Science Research Analyst Intern:
- Pursuing a degree in a technical discipline (i.e. statistics, mathematics, computer science) with a vested interest in developing data-centric solutions
- Demonstrated capacity to propose and execute a solution to a vague data problem
- Experience in building lightweight applications/data analysis using Python
- Experience in presenting quantitative analyses
- Strong written communication skills
- Experience in using version control systems like Git
- Familiarity with command line functionality is beneficial
- Elastic/MongoDB experience is advantageous
