About the Role

The Data Science Team at Reddit is expanding! We seek an experienced Data Science Manager to lead a team of talented data scientists and analysts. Your mission will be to uncover insights, drive strategic initiatives, and optimize growth across Reddit’s diverse user base. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Design, and Marketing, to enhance the systems driving our user growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers, engineering managers, and leadership to shape Reddit's roadmap and strategy by identifying actionable and impactful insights through deep-dive analyses and analytics insights.
• Engage proactively in all phases of product development, from ideation and exploratory analysis to post-launch monitoring and measurements.
• Focus on the collection and quality of underlying data, experiment design, and analysis. Work on ETLs, reporting dashboards, and data aggregations necessary for business tracking and ML model development.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in driving product strategy and roadmaps through analytics, ideally for consumer technology products and marketplaces.
• 3+ years of leadership experience as a people manager, leading a team of 5+ data scientists.
• Expertise in causal inference, A/B testing experimentation, metric definition and governance, and product strategy.
• Proven track record of enabling analytics self-service for cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficient in SQL and Python/R for hands-on analysis, with the ability to work closely with your team.
• Collaborative attitude, natural curiosity, and strong evidence-backed product opinions.

This job posting may span multiple career levels. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for equity in the form of restricted stock units, and potentially commission, depending on the position.
