Key Responsibilities

As a Data Science (Senior) Officer, your core responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with initiative leaders and team members to understand data requirements and translate these into effective data structures and models.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Define criteria for ensuring the integrity of data modeling throughout projects.
• Lead data modeling and testing activities during projects.
• Conduct quality assurance for analytics tools and methodologies used in projects.
• Leverage your expertise in machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval to design, prototype, and build next-generation analytics solutions.
• Develop and implement best practices for analytics, including models, standards, and tools.
• Create and manage company’s A/B testing framework and assess model quality.
• Monitor and report the impact of analytics on business outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance related to data architecture, data models, and metadata management, in collaboration with the IT function and project leaders.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, statistics, operations research, or a related technical discipline.
• 5-10+ years of experience in a statistical or data science role.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on product development.
• Proficiency in analytical tools and languages such as Python, R, Matlab, PowerBI, Spotfire, or SQL-like languages.
• Strong desire to learn and adapt.
• Experience working with large data sets, simulation/optimization, and distributed computing tools.
• In-depth knowledge of industry trends and the ability to translate business needs into data solutions.
