Job Purpose

As a Data Scientist in our Big Data environment, you will use BI tools, machine learning, and deep learning within our corporate data lake. Your primary goal will be to transform complex data into actionable information and insights that enhance decision-making processes. This role requires close collaboration with the data engineering team to enhance infrastructure and with business consumers and subject matter experts to promote AI-driven initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Apply AI models and algorithms tailored to telecommunications.
• Clean, transform, and analyze data to uncover insights and patterns.
• Visualize data using graphs, charts, tables, and BI tools such as Jupyter, Zeppelin, QlikView, Superset, and Metabase.
• Collaborate with business users to refine data use and optimize predictive analytics.
• Stay updated with the latest AI trends and advancements within the telecommunications sector.
• Work alongside data architects and IT team members to align on project objectives.

Job Specifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Systems, or Computer Science.

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience with data, applied statistics, and applied mathematics in areas such as recommendation systems, anomaly detection, and NLP.
• Proficient in programming and clean coding with Python/Scala/Java.
• Strong skills in SQL and familiarity with data tools like Spark, Hive, and Impala.
  • Deep understanding of SQL database structure including joins, subqueries, window functions, etc.
• Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Superset, Metabase, and QlikView.
• Familiar with both transactional and data warehouse environments.
• Knowledge of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Skills and Abilities

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong computer skills and programming proficiency.
• Previous experience in telecommunication sectors preferred.
• Robust knowledge of database systems and BI solutions.
• Effective problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work with different hardware and operating system solutions.
