Job Description

Within the Brand & Portfolio Management (BPM) team, you will join the Data Science Modelling (DSM) department, whose mission is to describe and predict the entire video game market from different angles: game success, player motivation and satisfaction, topic analysis, evolution of player behavior over time, etc.

In the scope of our missions, we pay a lot of attention to modeling and understanding the behavior of players on social media, with the aim of continuously improving our games by listening to their feedback. We are looking for an intern in data science who will be an integral part of the team and will actively contribute to the development of our tools and studies.

Your role will include:
  • Modeling game audiences' interests based on their behavior on social media;
  • Collaborating with a team of analysts to create supervised clustering models;
  • Establishing clustering and profiling in the video game market based on embeddings;
  • Building tailored visualizations to communicate the insights from your analyses;
  • Applying NLP algorithms to identify groups of players on social media;
  • Exploring and/or proposing new theoretical approaches;
  • Communicating your work and your results in an educational way to a diverse audience.

Qualifications

  • You enjoy open questions, mathematical modeling; you have an interest in marketing;
  • You know the odd one out between Python, Pandas, and Koalas;
  • You have some knowledge of NLP or graph theory;
  • You have handled a video game controller within the last twenty years (the last twenty minutes would be a plus);
  • You're not afraid of querying databases, like SQL;
  • You're looking for a team where emulation is the norm (and we're not talking about retrogaming).
