Job Role: Data Scientist, AWS Gen AI Innovation Center

As a Data Scientist at our newly launched AWS Generative AI Innovation Center, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge generative AI models. This role will see you working with large-scale datasets, including text and images, to address real-world challenges using advanced AI techniques. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including account managers, ML strategists, and other machine learning scientists and engineers, to craft and execute innovative experiments and enhance customer value.

The ideal candidate will have a robust technical background and exceptional customer engagement skills, allowing them to thrive within the AWS technical team and interact directly with customers and partners, potentially leading discussions with high-level executives.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience as a data scientist with at least 2 years working with data query languages such as SQL, or scripting languages like Python.
• Hands-on experience with statistical modeling, machine learning analysis tools and techniques.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional experience with Python, Perl, or other scripting languages is a plus.
• Experience in a machine learning or data scientist role within a large technology organization is highly advantageous.
