The Generative AI Innovation Center at AWS is a new strategic team that assists AWS customers to implement Generative AI solutions and seize transformational business opportunities. This is a group made up of strategists, data scientists, engineers, and solution architects who work hand-in-hand with customers to develop custom-tailored solutions that utilize the power of generative AI.
This team aids customers in visualizing and defining the use cases that will generate the most value for their businesses, selecting and training the right models, laying out paths to address technical or business obstacles, developing proof-of-concepts, and planning the launch of solutions on a wide scale. The GenAI Innovation Center team offers advice on best practices for using generative AI responsibly and cost-effectively.
You'll work directly with customers and innovate within a fast-paced organization, contributing to groundbreaking projects and technologies. You'll design and conduct experiments, research new algorithms, and uncover new methods to optimize risk, profitability, and customer experience.
We are currently seeking ML Data Scientists proficient in using GenAI and other techniques to design, propagate, and implement state-of-the-art solutions for unprecedented problems.
Key job responsibilities:
As an ML Data Scientist specializing in generative AI, you will:
- Collaborate with ML scientists and architects to research, design, develop, and evaluate innovative generative AI algorithms to tackle real-world problems.
- Interact directly with customers to understand their business issues, assist them in the implementation of generative AI solutions, deliver briefings and deep dives to customers, and guide them on generative AI adoption patterns and paths.
- Create and deliver recommendations based on best practices, tutorials, blog posts, sample codes, and presentations tailored to technical, business, and executive stakeholders.
- Provide feedback on customers and markets to Product and Engineering teams to help set the product direction.

Basic Qualifications:
- Master's degree (or European equivalent) in Computer Science, or a related technical, mathematical, or scientific field.
- Relevant experience in building large-scale machine learning or deep learning models.
- Experience in communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience using Python, R, or Matlab, or other statistical/machine learning software language, and statistical modeling/machine learning.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrable knowledge of Generative AI and practical experience in creating applications with large foundation models.
- PhD degree in Computer Science or a related technical, mathematical, or scientific field.
- Familiarity with AWS platform and tools.
- Experience building ML solutions with AWS.
