About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Architect to join our internal Artificial Intelligence Solutions team. In this role, you'll be responsible for architecting large-scale, enterprise-grade solutions with a focus on our Cloud Data Lake platform. This platform enables AI & ML solutions that drive business growth. You will establish technology standards and roadmaps and actively participate in coding by developing exemplar patterns, data pipelines, and MLOps to accelerate our data scientists' delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business leadership to identify problems and opportunities for technology innovation, especially in data strategy and data cloud.
• Help establish a clear, consistent technology vision through collaboration, influence, and enablement.
• Research, recommend, design, and develop data strategy and cloud architecture.
• Shape enterprise data architecture design patterns, principles, and best practices to enhance business solution delivery.
• Integrate disparate data models across the company into one enterprise-wide Cloud Data Platform design.
• Consult with various teams to refine AI/ML objectives enabled by MLOps.
• Participate in the development of enterprise strategy for AI/ML model development, training, deployment, operations, and compliance.
• Drive a culture of standardization in data transformation.
• Interact with engineering and infrastructure teams to understand data requirements for new solutions.
• Lead technology proof-of-concepts and benchmarks to ensure the feasibility of architecture solutions.
• Communicate complex ideas concisely to diverse audiences and venues.
• Assess the organizational impact of enterprise architecture, governance, and standards, focusing on the data layer.
• Form a network of positive relationships with vendors and other influencers within and beyond the enterprise.
• Mentor architects, engineers, and inspire senior technical individual contributors.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or PhD in a technical field, with a strong orientation in Data.
• 5+ years of architecture experience in data development in public cloud (AWS and/or Azure).
• Strong thought leadership in modern architecture principles and technology modernization.
• Ability to rapidly assess changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
• Experience with event-based application architecture and design.
• Experience deploying applications in cloud-based platforms such as AWS and/or Azure, and understanding the -aaS hierarchy.
• Proficiency in various data storage technologies, including RDBMS, NoSQL, Graph, and object storage, and understanding their use cases.
• Experience with ML tools (Notebooks, etc.) and enterprise data warehouse technologies.
• Effective time management and multitasking skills to meet challenging deadlines.
• Ability to suggest innovative solutions based on new technologies and latest trends.
• Understanding of data security, data access controls, and their design aspects.
• Experience in Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent client-facing and team player skills.
