Job Description

You will become a part of ServiceNow Cloud Services Big Data Analytics Team that is building the next-generation platform capable of collecting, storing, and enabling real-time access to sizeable amounts of data. Being a part of the Big Data Team, we develop and refine Machine Learning and Generative AI-based solutions to provide insightful understanding of the data we possess. 

Expectation from research scientists/engineers is to produce innovative and cost-effective solutions to key challenges, deliver high quality code, and collaborate with product managers, data engineers, quality engineers to translate those solutions into products.

• Deploy and fine-tune LLMs
• Improve LLMs' accuracy using prompt engineering techniques.
• Build data engineering components to improve big data products
• Develop ML models for prediction or classification using available data
• Create intelligent processing pipelines for alerting/anomaly detection
• Lead technically challenging projects from conceptualization to fruition.

Qualifications

For success in this role you must have:

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Solid software development skills in Python/Java/SQL, git
• In-depth experience in anomaly detection (Statistical models and Deep Learning Models)
• Experience in training transformer-based language models and their variants (T5, BART, BERT etc)
• Understanding of transformer architecture and the influence of modifying it
• Experience utilizing GPUs to train deep learning models
• Profound understanding of large language models(LLM), and prompting methods
• Experience in understanding and implementing algorithms as described in papers
• Prior work with Big Data clusters is preferred
• Strong educational background (M.S./Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline
