Job Purpose:

At HEINEKEN International, the Data Scientist position based in our D&T department is a pivotal role that drives the APAC Data & Analytics Hub forward. This position is integral to achieving our mission of implementing standardised and scalable data foundations across both the region and our global enterprise. Renowned for its innovation in technology and advanced analytics, the D&T department provides HEINEKEN with a formidable competitive edge that aligns with our comprehensive organizational objectives.

Working in concert with professionals across various departments at HEINEKEN, the Data Scientist will significantly contribute to the R&D initiatives within the Advanced Analytics organization. By identifying and developing new Analytics opportunities specific to various Functions, the role holder will enhance our analytics capabilities and business value generation.

This role demands a combination of theoretical expertise and practical business execution. Success will be achieved through robust partnerships and collaborative efforts with teams across data insights, management, and analytics, extending through to our global and regional operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead R&D initiatives within the Advanced Analytics group across diverse product lines.
• Employ software engineering best practices, such as CI/CD and unit testing, to enhance the reliability and robustness of data science solutions.
• Design and develop predictive models using standardized value-measurement techniques to tackle complex business challenges.
• Maintain strong collaborative relationships with stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of objectives.
• Contribute to scrum meetings and ensure the timely delivery of objectives, defining scope and priorities as needed.
• Develop and scale advanced analytics prototype products, identifying new high-value opportunities for HEINEKEN.
• Stay updated with cutting-edge analytical methodologies through continuous self-development and research.

Job Requirements:

• Education: BA/MSc in Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields. Relevant experience may be considered as an alternative.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a dedicated analytical or data science role.
• Demonstrated history of successful data science projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, with extensive experience in pandas & scikit-learn.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
• Profound knowledge of Data Science, Machine Learning, and continuous learning to keep pace with industry trends.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience in Azure development environments.
• Experience working in large development teams with CI/CD.
