Data Scientist - Generative Probabilistic Planning

We forecast the 'unpredictable' confusion that necessitates businesses at the core of the worldwide economy to incorporate waste into their manufacturing and supply chain operations, and we're striving to restore the flow of business processes. This Data Scientist position involves the development of Generative Probabilistic Planning technology crucial to our new Supply Chain Planning, capable of significantly enhancing profitability and vastly reducing waste. This position can be anchored in any major US metro area. WHAT YOU’LL DO KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: As a Data Scientist at Noodle.ai, you will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of specialists in the supply chain planning domain, operations research, software engineering, MLOps, data visualization, and other sectors to build and implement applications. You will acquire a deep understanding of the company’s tech stack and then design, test, and apply machine learning algorithms to enhance it. As we grow, you will create reusable IP to enable us to expedite our pace, delve deeper, and improve our efficiency. You are fascinated by the latest advances in machine learning and are interested in pushing technical limits… But you are more than a technologist. You cherish the 'science' aspect of data science, embrace ambiguity, and find delight in the process of exploration. You have experience utilizing a variety of modeling techniques and have particular expertise in predictive modeling and time-series forecasting. ABOUT YOU QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: MUST HAVE: - Masters in a relevant field (Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Math...) or 2+ years of experience implementing advanced AI techniques to solve real-world problems. - Familiarity with Machine Learning tools in Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, etc.). - Machine Learning development experience with PyTorch. - Expertise in Reinforcement Learning (Offline and Online). - Experience in implementing Deep Learning algorithms from scratch. - Prior experience in deploying ML models in production. - Proven ability to quickly iterate concepts and a track record of developing effective solutions to business problems. - Ability to generate innovative ideas and ensure adaptable and high-quality implementations. - Proficiency in writing production-quality, well-tested, and documented code. - Passion for learning and a desire for personal growth – Noodlers are lifelong learners! HELPFUL TO HAVE: - Experience with Graph Neural Networks and PyTorch Geometric. - Domain experience in supply chain planning (inventory or supply planning). - Domain expertise in consumer products supply chain operations. - Collaboration skills with Sales, Product, and UX teams to conceive, design, deploy, and identify new product opportunities. - Understanding of MLOps best practices for product development. - Experience with Containerized development (e.g., Docker). - Demonstrated passion and energy that extend beyond your field of study – Are you a computer scientist who writes poetry?
