Your Role: Data Scientist, Go-To-Market

We seek an experienced Data Scientist to bolster our Go-To-Market (GTM) teams as they innovate across product categories and geographic markets. This key role involves collaboration with teams accountable for scaling Whatnot’s account management and marketing initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with GTM and International leads to identify improvements using data science methodologies and tools.
  • Optimize GTM strategies for new markets using data insights.
  • Develop actionable KPIs and create production-quality dashboards to present strategic insights.
  • Enhance roadmaps through analysis of marketplace trends and user behavior.
  • Engage in defining and promoting data-driven best practices within the organization.

What We're Looking For

We value intellectually curious, highly motivated individuals eager to be foundational members of our Data team! Candidates will work closely with Category Expansion, Marketing, and Strategy & Operations teams to identify business goals and design scalable solutions.

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in the Data field.
  • 3+ years in Data Analytics & Science supporting GTM, sales operations, marketing, or similar roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Redshift, Snowflake, Big Query, Presto/Trino, Athena, Spark, and DBT.
  • Proficiency in SQL and a scripting language like Python or R.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard sales tools like Salesforce and Hubspot.
  • Experience with data visualization tools for business intelligence and interactive dashboards.

Compensation & Benefits

For US-based applicants: $180,000 - $275,000/year + benefits + stock options.

The salary range reflects various levels applicable to the position. Final salary depends on experience, skills, and expertise. This range covers base salary only; it excludes benefits and stock options.
