The Role: Data Scientist II - IDEAs Group

As a Data Scientist II, you will centralize relevant data to create critical business metrics, perform opportunity analysis, and generate hypotheses to drive product improvement and growth. This role grants you expertise in designing and managing core OKRs and executive business rhythms. Additionally, you will build generative business intelligence to support descriptive and predictive analytics, forecasting, and causal inference models.

Location

This is a U.S.-based position. While remote work is possible, relocation support is not provided for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data analyses and deliver insights on marketing initiatives/programs for Security solutions.
  • Define, generate, and monitor KPI metrics for various Security solutions.
  • Automate reporting and provide exploration capabilities for reporting users.
  • Collaborate with multiple Marketing and Product teams to explore data, design learning plans, and conduct analyses.
  • Present insights and learnings to key stakeholders/executives, driving actions and impact.
  • Offer thought leadership on Security marketing based on analysis learnings.
  • Inform business strategy through deep insights, cross-team collaborations with data engineering and data science, and effective storytelling.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Economics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field OR Master's Degree in the same fields with 1+ year of data-science experience OR Bachelor's Degree in the same fields with 2+ years of data-science experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) customer-facing, project-delivery, professional services, and/or consulting experience.
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing large volumes of data and processing large datasets using SQL or SQL-like scripting languages.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for this role, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees with corresponding years of data-science experience as outlined above.
  • 2+ years of experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex issues into easily understandable concepts through strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, self-discipline, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in data science.
  • Experience working in ambiguous situations and across organizational boundaries.

Compensation

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. For roles in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City, the base pay range is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year. Additional benefits and compensation information can be found
