About the Role

As part of the Data Science and Machine Learning group, you'll be instrumental in constructing and maintaining the infrastructure essential for ML deployment at scale. Your role will involve:

• Developing core infrastructure services for applied machine learning.
• Writing and implementing code that meets production standards.
• Utilizing cutting-edge open-source technologies.
• Creating and deploying ML models tailored to resolving real-world financial challenges.
• Conducting deep learning research such as Graph Neural Networks and Natural Language Processing including Semantic Search and Generative LLMs.
• Exploring innovative methods to extract data points and enable financial research from unstructured data.

This position not only allows you to apply your research ideas practically but also lets you design groundbreaking systems influenced by the latest scientific advancements.

About You

We are looking for a diverse range of candidates with deep knowledge or experience in several of the following areas:

• Proficiency in programming, particularly Python and Java.
• A solid theoretical foundation in Algebra, Statistics, and Machine Learning.
• Expertise in Natural Language Processing, including training and tuning large language models and RAG search pipelines.
• Experience in development groups, DevOps, and using tools like Git and Linux systems.
• Knowledge of service architectures including Docker and Kubernetes, and familiarity with ElasticSearch/RESTful APIs.
• A strong background in research environments.
• An academic degree in a quantitative discipline is preferable.

For Vice-President level positions, demonstrable leadership experience in the workplace or academia is expected.
