About the Position: Data Scientist (m/f/d)

Reporting To: Head of Quants

Location: Remote / Office-based options available

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist, you will collaborate closely with Quantitative Analysts, Product Owners, Developers, and Traders to:

  • Create and maintain predictive models for pre-match and in-play betting markets across various sports, with a particular focus on electronic sports.
  • Clean, visualize, analyze, and interpret relevant data for predictive modeling.
  • Implement and test models in Java, and publish and maintain these Java libraries.
  • Support the codebase and optimize existing predictive models.
  • Research and innovate new methods for future applications and projects.

  • Develop innovative methods for optimal data analysis.

Your Profile

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in predictive modeling with expertise in techniques like GLMs, Time-Series Analysis, Bayesian Statistics, MCMC, neural networks, etc.
  • Proficiency in R or Python, alongside advanced coding and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with fluency in English.
  • Creative thinker who strives to refine systems and processes.
  • Highly self-motivated and exemplary team player with robust interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in object-oriented programming, particularly Java.
  • Familiarity with tools like GitLab, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
