The Role: Data Scientist (Full-Time, Remote)

We are currently looking for a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. In this fully remote role, you will:

• Apply statistical modeling techniques to improve the accuracy of cash flow forecasts and other business health metrics.
• Utilize analytics and experimental data to enhance the customer experience on the Pipe platform.
• Explore datasets proactively, uncover valuable insights, and prototype new model-driven features and products.
• Design and develop models to optimize our product offerings.
• Deploy and monitor the performance of these models.

Qualifications

We seek talented Data Scientists with experience in similar roles. Ideal candidates should have:

• End-to-end experience in the model development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language, such as Python. Our Data Science culture aligns closely with engineering, so familiarity with developer best practices and comfort navigating production codebases are essential.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps infrastructure (e.g., Baseten, Metaflow, SageMaker, Vertex).
• Strong fundamentals in probability and statistics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in finance, financial forecasting, and/or optimization is a plus.
• Educational background in Statistics, Computer Science, Financial/Applied Math, Operations Research, Economics, or a related technical field. A Masters/PhD is a plus.
