Position: Data Scientist (Machine Learning)

Location: Bay Area, San Francisco (relocation and paid travel options are available).

Role Overview

As a Data Scientist at Fractal Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing machine learning models that transform our client's business operations. Your responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with internal teams to identify AI-driven solutions for complex business challenges.
• Designing, developing, and deploying machine learning algorithms that provide actionable insights.
• Staying updated on the latest advancements in machine learning and applying cutting-edge techniques.
• Ensuring data integrity and effectiveness in machine learning models.
• Translating business needs into technical requirements and machine learning solutions for clients.
• Leading initiatives to enhance data analytics capabilities with a focus on predictive and prescriptive analytics.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in machine learning algorithms, including linear regression, anomaly detection, time series forecasting, probabilistic models, neural networks, and deep learning.
• Experience with data modeling and evaluation strategies.
• Strong programming skills in Python and familiarity with libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and Scikit-learn.
• Knowledge of data preprocessing, cleaning, and analysis techniques.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
• 3-5 years of experience in a machine learning or data science role with a proven track record.
• Exposure to cloud computing services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is advantageous.

Compensation

The wage range for this role considers various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, and organizational needs. Typically, compensation falls between $115,000 to $185,000, with eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on performance. Individual salary decisions are based on specific circumstances and qualifications.
