Merkle's Data Science team is eager to recruit an individual with a strong understanding of business, to join its vibrant workforce. You will become a part of a dynamic setting, with cross-disciplinary skills strongly emphasized, and a keen focus on teamwork, mutual collaboration, and individual initiative.

Alongside other team members, you will be entrusted with managing and analyzing substantial web data (digital marketing), customer CRMs, and external data sources, using various advanced analytical and information management tools and reporting platforms, and presenting the findings and insights to clients.

Job Description

 

  • Understand and resolve or optimize business problems through analytical and statistical methods, implementing both traditional and Big Data approaches
  • Oversee the design and execution of complex analyses, starting from the interpretation of customer requirements to the compilation and presentation of results
  • Supervise the handling and scrutiny of substantial data volumes, using various tools and architectures
  • Study data, procedures and technologies to distinguish the existing state and core issues of internal business functionalities and external client projects
  • Develop data models that enhance processes and provide strategic value to the business
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from different departments to address gaps and challenges in the data journey
  • Cross-sell and deliver on data projects for key patrons, augmenting revenue and generating case studies to publicize the data science service

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a data-centric field
  • Understanding of the principles of statistical modeling, particularly concerning clustering, classification and regression algorithms
  • Proficiency in Python and R is essential
  • High familiarity with SQL usage
  • Exceptional communication and ability to expose and explain the tasks undertaken and the results achieved
  • Excellent fluency in both spoken and written English
  • Proficiency in team collaboration is paramount
