We're your dream data science team! At Mimecast, the Data Science group serves as the advanced analytical powerhouse within our Business Intelligence team. We tackle high-value business challenges, utilizing cutting-edge tools and techniques to devise actionable AI/ML-driven processes on a large scale. As a Data Scientist, you will be pivotal in crafting and enhancing machine learning models and collaborating with stakeholders to forge new tools using Generative AI and traditional AI/ML methodologies to revolutionize our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

As part of our dynamic team, you will:

• Collaborate cross-functionally with various stakeholders to evaluate, prioritize, and develop new Machine Learning and Generative AI solutions.
• Maintain and optimize existing Machine Learning models as needed.
• Work closely with analysts, data engineers, and analytics engineers to actualize data science and machine learning solutions.
• Directly partner with functional teams to enhance our decision-making processes through data and analytics expertise.
• Serve as an internal expert within the Data Science team, contributing to our capabilities in machine learning and advanced analytics.
• Build stakeholder partnerships and cultivate a culture of collaboration and data literacy, elevating the company’s analytics maturity.
• Present complex, technical findings to a diverse range of technical and non-technical business stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

Your background might include:

• Extensive experience in data science, analytics, or a closely related field, with a proven track record of technical and analytical excellence.
• Success in deploying machine learning solutions at scale in production environments, impacting business outcomes significantly.
• Strong foundational knowledge of machine learning algorithms and the ability to apply these to create actionable insights from complex data sets.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL, and familiarity with tools like scikit-learn, Tensorflow, Snowflake, and dbt.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
• Experience in collaborative, cross-functional project execution for designing and implementing machine-learning solutions.
• A solid understanding of e-commerce and subscription-based products, metrics, and best practices (preferred).
• Experience with AWS and familiarity with generative AI techniques (e.g., LLMs, GANs, VAEs) are desirable.
