Role Overview

As a Data Specialist, you will be instrumental in ensuring compliance and maintaining the high standards of The Dufresne Group (TDG). Your main responsibilities will include managing product information from the merchandising team and aiding in the completion of data-related projects to optimize our product data.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Specialist, your duties will include:

  • Ensuring accurate data upload of all product information using data from the Category team
  • Creating and maintaining product SKUs according to category standards for multiple brands, ensuring adherence to data governance rules within the Product Information Management (PIM)
  • Completing all data-related tasks in PIM, such as error correction, vendor mapping for SKU creation, and web review
  • Maintaining data integrity as the volume of captured data increases over time
  • Organizing and uploading photography assets to Cloudinary and updating the website to reflect product information in PIM, including image order and variations such as colors and finishes
  • Supporting data requests and projects as needed
  • Cleaning up historical data as required
  • Providing Ashley Furniture Industries (AFI) processing status and web copy status to the merchandising team
  • Maintaining vendor creation, vendor maintenance, and margin targets in Product Data Management (PDM)
  • Supporting the development of the department's performance in alignment with continuous improvement and lean initiatives

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, Data Science, or Mathematics
  • 1-3 years of experience in a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly learn in-house programs
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • High attention to detail and prioritization skills
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
