ICF is seeking a Data Strategist, subject to award, to establish and develop a trustworthy relationship with a Federal Client. In this role, you will work systematically with the client to leverage their data assets through technology and governance for fact-based decision-making and innovative actionable insight. You will also help our client inform Business decisions through the management of data assets. This position will enable you to utilise and improve your analytical skills, strategic thinking skills, decision-making abilities, and business expertise as a Data Strategist. This position will work remotely for a Federal client in Arlington, VA.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support data collection for the agile transition and/or metrics on cross-agency alignment to agile practices.
- Collect data to align with the client’s corporate strategy.
- Collaborate with the client to determine the data architecture and technology used to store and access data.
- Work with the client’s data analytics team, to establish data governance, and data strategy roadmaps.
- Help the client establish data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
- Work with Business Analysts, Consultants and Architects to identify requirements and consolidate enterprise data model consistent with business processes.
- Reconcile enterprise data integration issues.
- Own and develop key aspects of the information architecture, including data models, data flow diagrams, and metadata strategy.
- Monitor projects to ensure adherence to standards and governance processes.
- Ensure that change control processes are followed for database changes and projects are following database management standards and methodologies.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or an equivalent combination of 5-7 years of education and/or experience.
- Proficiency in analytical, project planning, negotiating, and communication skills (written and oral).
- Demonstrated expertise with gathering requirements, compiling metrics, assessing solution readiness, performing research and analysis, and providing program support.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and personal skills with ability to present to groups, including C-level executives.
- Ability to work with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, satisfy their expectations and resolve their problems.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Visio).
- US Citizenship (required by federal government) and the ability to gain a Public Trust.

Pay Range - There are many factors considered in determining the final pay for a position, including relevant work experience, skills, certifications, geographic location, education, and contract provisions specific to the position. The pay range for this position is $70,374.00 - $119,636.00. The location of work is Virginia Remote Office (VA99).
