Your Role as a Payments Data Strategy & Advisory Director

We are currently seeking a Payments Data Strategy & Advisory Director to drive the growth of our award-winning Data Practice in the Payments domain. You will be a respected authority in Payments data, with experience in building and running a Payments data advisory consulting business. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team of multi-disciplinary data practitioners. You will direct and collaborate with the team to develop new businesses and deliver leading data strategies for top-tier clients in the Payments and wider Financial Services sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and research business development opportunities on new or existing clients and aid the development of client proposals and bids.
• Shape and take to market propositions to solve Payments client data challenges and deliver sustainable business outcomes.
• Build market networks and relationships to enhance the market awareness of the UK Data Practice.
• Contribute to innovation practices in your field, both internally and externally.
• Create a collaborative culture, drive talent development, and provide mentoring and coaching for those developing their careers in data.
• Manage commercial growth targets while mobilizing, scaling, and leading mixed Capco/client teams to deliver diverse outcomes such as enabling Retail Banking digital transformation and defining Payments data strategies.

Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have a passion for data and a proven track record in driving data changes to achieve business outcomes. Ideally, you will have:

• 8+ years of data consulting experience in a senior management or director position, with at least 5 years in the Payments industry.
• Demonstrable experience providing deep Payments data advisory at the C-suite level.
• Extensive experience partnering with financial institutions to shape and operationalize data strategies at an Enterprise-level.
• A strong commercial focus with the ability to develop client relationships and direct sales opportunities.
• Highly effective communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships at all levels.
• Deep understanding of Data Strategy, Data Management, and Data Analytics principles, and familiarity with common methodologies and models (e.g., DAMA DMBOK, DCAM, CDMC).
• Experience in managing business and technical teams to deliver projects of varying sizes.
• Proven experience in programme execution, business analysis, and change management.
