Role Overview: Private Equity Data and Analytics – Senior

In the face of evolving economic conditions and market demands, Private Equity firms, their portfolio companies, and investment funds face the challenge of deploying capital and optimizing value effectively. At EY, we empower our clients with essential advisory and implementation services, drawing on deep expertise from our Technical Consulting, Business Consulting, and Strategy and Transactions teams.

This role focuses on delivering high-impact solutions across data strategy and implementation, including data lakes, data warehousing, and advanced analytics. Joining our Private Equity Data and Analytics team, you'll harness the latest technologies to accelerate value creation for our clients.

The Opportunity: Creating Competitive Advantage Through Data & Analytics

Your role will involve collaborating closely with strategy and transactions consultants to align data and analytics services with our clients’ investment strategies. You'll play a crucial role in helping clients harness data to make informed decisions, contributing to more resilient and successful businesses.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Lead projects on modern data management, leveraging technologies like data fabric and mesh, and AI/ML execution
• Translate complex business issues into viable analytical solutions, delivering insights that drive business growth
• Create and pitch compelling, data-focused sales materials to prospective clients
• Forge strong relationships across functions and industries to deliver innovative data strategies and solutions

Skills and Attributes for Success:

• Proven experience in data management, modeling, governance, and engineering
• Competency in advanced analytics methods and tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Azure Data Factory
• Background in consulting, particularly within private equity or mergers and acquisitions
• Strong communication skills, with a knack for presenting complex data-related information clearly and persuasively

Qualifications:

To qualify for this high-visibility role, you will need a bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, combined with 3-5 years of experience in designing and implementing comprehensive data and analytics strategies. A background in management consulting or within the private equity sector is essential.
