Key Responsibilities:

As a Data Visualization Specialist, you will:

  • Gather, scrutinize, and interpret key data across multiple sources, focusing on quality and usability to craft compelling visual narratives and interfaces that simplify complex data for decision-makers.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI to create dynamic virtual dashboards.
  • Drive the design and implementation of effective visualization models to clearly articulate data-driven insights.
  • Engage in process improvements involving Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes to enhance data pipeline execution.
  • Lead client interactions, responding adeptly to their needs through professional presentations and consultations.
  • Stay at the frontier of data visualization by understanding and deploying geospatial analysis, Human-Centered Design (HCD), and Customer Experience strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

Prospective candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics and visualization environments.
  • Proficient with visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and geographical data systems like ArcGIS or QGIS.
  • Experienced in SQL, Python, or R for advanced data queries and analysis.
  • Effective oral and visual communication skills for high-stakes presentations and client engagements.
  • Possess or have the ability to obtain a Public Trust or similar Suitability/Fitness determination as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with preference given to further education or specializations reflecting deeper knowledge.

Advanced Qualifications:

Strong preference for candidates with:

  • Advanced SQL capabilities and deep technical proficiency in Tableau and Power BI feature sets.
  • Background in fields like Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related areas, especially at the graduate level.
  • Experience with user interface and experience design tailored towards enhancing client engagements and product accessibility.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience, ranging from $60,400 to $137,000 annually.
