Position Overview: Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist

As a Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist with Inova, you will:

• Demonstrate expert knowledge in Imaging principles, anatomy, and pathology, utilizing optimal techniques for the best outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients to gather clinical history and ensure informed consent, enhancing the performance and interpretation of examinations.
• Apply effective radiation protection procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Maintain an orderly and safe environment, with well-stocked supplies ready for procedures.
• Perform routine quality control tests and maintenance on imaging equipment to maintain high-quality image standards.
• Contribute to the development and revision of departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements for the Role:

• Certification in Basic Life Support within three months of hire; ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist at the start.
• Must obtain advanced certification in applicable modality within the first year and complete additional training as required.
• Licensure as needed by state laws if working in a standalone Imaging Center.
• At least one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Graduate from an accredited school/program of radiography.
