Job Summary The Director of AI Product Management is responsible for driving Equinix's AI strategy. Working closely with senior leadership, this role will align business goals and objectives with an AI product development roadmap, enabling rapid, high-quality decision-making. Leading the AI strategy and implementation, this role will prioritize the allocation of resources to the most critical AI/ML use cases, in collaboration with our IT Data Science & Engineering team. Responsibilities - Develop and lead the AI strategy for a Equinix business unit, aligning innovative technical solutions with business goals and objectives. - Implement a multi-year AI product roadmap that transforms EQIX business units into an AI-driven enterprise, providing significant improvements in business decision-making and operational efficiency at every stage. - Build strong relationships with executive partners to influence AI/ML research strategies. - Prioritize and launch new AI initiatives, partnering with cross-functional collaborators to identify opportunities to optimize operations through the implementation of new technology and data-driven solutions. - Liaise closely with IT Data Science and Engineering to oversee successful product development and delivery, monitoring ongoing product efficiency. - Regularly communicate product updates, strategy, and vision to senior stakeholders. - Structure and implement operational and strategic initiatives, including defining vision and scope, identifying and assessing relevant datasets and systems, overseeing analyses, and executing end-to-end analytics solutions. Program Management - Lead the planning and delivery of 6-8 AI projects, overseeing these projects from initial proof of concept through development and implementation. - Ensure alignment of AI projects with the strategic objectives of the business unit. - Evaluate potential areas for AI investments, and prioritize based on an investment optimization framework. - Manage program risks, including project timelines, evolving requirements, and stakeholder changes/additions. Thought Leadership - Set the architectural direction for the growth and evolution of applied AI. - Stay up-to-date with the latest AI research developments, identifying new business opportunities. - Participate in key technical and design discussions with technical leads. Qualifications - Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 10 years of experience in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence. - Experience leading Advanced Analytics, AI/ML, or Engineering teams. - Experience in the Data Center Services, Digital Infrastructure or Networking Services industry, or in Go-to-Market strategy in the IT industry preferred. - Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, CPA or MBA a plus. The targeted pay range for this full-time position in San Francisco, CA is $179,000 to $304,000 per year. This position may also be offered in other locations, and pay will be based on skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
