Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Director of Business Intelligence – Visual Analytics for a 12-month contract in our Business Intelligence (BI) team. This role encompasses leading the design and delivery of impactful visual analytics and advanced data-driven insights within our Management Analytics as a Service (MaaS) initiative. Targeted towards strategic business advancements, the responsibilities include implementing new BI toolsets with GenAI capabilities and collaborating across various departments to enhance decision-making processes.

Role-Specific Accountabilities:

- Lead and develop our BI-VA team, fostering a culture that prioritizes data-driven decision making and excellence.

- Craft and execute a comprehensive visual analytics strategy that aligns with organizational goals.

- Design and oversee the implementation of innovative analytical tools and dashboards.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate visualization needs into strategic actions ensuring data integrity across all platforms.

- Promote predictive analytics and advance data science practices throughout the organization.

- Provide training and leadership in the use of data analysis and visualization tools.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

- Robust experience in data analysis and visualization with tools like Tableau, QuickSight, and Power BI.

- Demonstrable leadership skills and the capacity to manage high-stake projects.

- Proven ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way.

- Experience in Agile and Design Thinking frameworks is an asset.
