Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) at Commonwealth Bank is dedicated to nurturing relationships with major corporate and government entities, providing a spectrum of risk management, capital solutions, and transactional services. Our division not only spearheads these efforts but also supports other CBA divisions by offering expertise in equities, markets, lending, and transaction banking to leverage business opportunities effectively.

Your Role and Impact

As a Director of Data and Analytics, you will collaborate closely with both internal stakeholders and external customers to drive strategic business outcomes. Your main goal will be to expand our commercial analytics offerings across IB&M, working with teams like Relationship Executives, TBS, Private Equity, and CommBankiQ to originate and deliver compelling data analytics solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Engaging and educating IB&M frontline teams to identify and seize new client opportunities.
• Managing senior stakeholder relationships and formulating strategies to meet business objectives effectively.
• Utilizing industry insights to recognize and target strategic market opportunities.
• Developing and overseeing the sales pipeline to ensure all targets and client expectations are met.
• Driving performance and delivering successful client outcomes in collaboration with CommBank iQ.

Who Are You?

Ideal candidates are motivated self-starters with solid experience in business development or relationship management, preferably within Institutional or Business Banking. A strong risk management mindset and a keen ability to problem-solve alongside our clients are crucial. Familiarity with CBA systems and direct exposure to IB&M clients will be considered an advantage.
