Job Description:

As the Director of Data Engineering, you will spearhead a talented team of data engineers focused on constructing high-performance, scalable data pipelines. Whether in our Jersey City, NJ office, embracing a hybrid work model, or fully remote, your leadership will bridge the technical realms of data and product engineering.

Core Responsibilities:

• Technically lead and expand a team of data engineers, managing career growth and performance.
• Collaboratively develop and maintain our data infrastructure roadmap in partnership with the Analytics Engineering team.
• Evaluate and enhance our data capabilities, optimizing infrastructure to meet cross-functional needs.
• Uphold the highest standards of data privacy and quality throughout all operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role, with a minimum of 4 years in management.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and expert knowledge in data modeling and ETL/ELT development principles.
• Minimum of 5 years with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including various management and big data services.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud data warehouses, and orchestration frameworks.
