Who You Are

With extensive leadership experience in data or database engineering, you are poised to drive our data engineering strategies. Your background includes:

  • At least 12 years in engineering/development and 5 years in a leadership role.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in modern development tools and practices, and a deep understanding of data technologies and database systems.
  • Proven ability in managing teams, nurturing talent, and fostering a supportive and motivating work environment.

Key Responsibilities

As the Director of Data Engineering in Crunchyroll, your day-to-day tasks involve overseeing the entire data lifecycle, ensuring the seamless integration of architecture, governance, and data services into cloud environments. You will:

  • Lead a team of data professionals to become a center of excellence.
  • Align data management with broader business objectives and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Technical Skills

Your technical repertoire should include:

  • Data management across various storage systems.
  • Cloud computing experience with platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • A strong grasp of performance metrics to enhance system efficiencies.
