Job Overview

Reporting to the Senior Director, Data and AI Platform Engineering, the Data Lead is responsible for data readiness, including data conversion and migration from legacy applications into the new ERP application, also known as ‘Project North Star.’ The role involves driving the strategy for data infrastructure, creating roadmaps to enhance data structures, and collaborating with the migration and cutover team. The Data Lead will develop and implement quality control systems and processes to ensure ongoing data integrity.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead key data infrastructure decisions for Project North Star, ensuring alignment with enterprise blueprints and privacy standards
  • Design end-to-end analytical workflows, encompassing infrastructure, capabilities, platforms, tools, and governing processes
  • Review and adjust project/program direction, approach, and key artifacts to maintain program momentum and ensure future scalability and maintainability

Minimum Qualifications

Experience

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent education and experience
  • 5+ years in an Analytic Architecture role designing technology architectures, detailed workflows, best practices, and governance guidelines

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with large ERP transformation initiatives
  • Expertise with tools (including SAP utilities) for converting, migrating, and loading data into SAP S/4
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable, integrated, and operational analytical solutions
  • Comprehensive understanding of data products, publishing, and architectural alternatives, including performance tuning and governance requirements

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills, adept at engaging with leadership and conducting hands-on discussions with Data Engineers and Data Analysts
  • Proactive in driving data architecture choices that facilitate enterprise-wide data usage and product development

Physical Demands

  • Frequent sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer or adding machine for extended periods
  • Occasional walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • Occasionally lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
