Why This Role Is Important to Arcadia

We are seeking an experienced Director, Data Integration, to join our senior data leadership team. This role is crucial as it oversees claims data integration, ensuring seamless, accurate, and timely integration of healthcare data across our systems. This position reports directly to the VP of Data Operations and plays a pivotal role in shaping our data strategy and driving the success of our data initiatives.

Success Metrics

In 3 Months:
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of Arcadia connector technology.
  • Achieve familiarity with standard operating procedures, tools, and department responsibilities.
  • Establish credibility with key stakeholders and build relationships with direct reports and team members.
In 6 Months:
  • Independently support managers in overcoming barriers and solving problems.
  • Contribute actively to team operations methodology and processes.
  • Be recognized by key stakeholders as disciplined, self-motivated, and self-organizing.
  • Build relationships with other Arcadia senior leaders.
In 12 Months:
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives with Data Operations or Customer Management peers.
  • Become a sought-after expert on connector domains within your purview.
  • Engage consultatively with customer stakeholders to ensure successful data integration.
  • Demonstrate clear improvements in data integration metrics for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end business function for claims data integration.
  • Oversee the building, testing, and deployment of high-quality connectors and ingestion pipelines.
  • Engage in sprint planning, product grooming, Jira task management, and other administrative tasks.
  • Serve as a key member of the senior data leadership team, contributing to data integration strategy.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for claims data and claims connector implementation.
  • Engage directly with clients and advise throughout the connector life cycle.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to achieve team and company objectives.
  • Evaluate team performance and identify areas for improvement in delivery timeliness, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee daily team operations, provide performance evaluations, and manage recruitment and training of staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, data science, technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data integration or data engineering, preferably with a healthcare focus.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing data integration teams and projects.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data standards and practices.
  • Experience working directly with customers as a technical advisor.
  • Extensive coding experience in SQL/Spark/Scala/DBT for data transformation.
  • Innovative and continuously improving mindset.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • A positive attitude and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record in leading teams to achieve challenging objectives.
  • Experience partnering with offshore operations.
  • Technical experience with databases, cloud architecture, Python, Kafka, Nifi, DBT, Hudi, and AWS.
