Key Responsibilities

As the Director of Data Science, your main tasks will include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address organizational data needs, delivering comprehensive data solutions that can be implemented company-wide.
• Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team of data scientists, providing ongoing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
• Delivering innovative machine learning solutions that drive substantial business value and enhance operational efficiency.
• Cooperating with stakeholders to define strategic data science objectives, strategies, and roadmaps that align with overall business goals.
• Driving the development and deployment of machine learning models and analytics to tackle complex business issues and inform strategic decisions.
• Encouraging a culture of continuous learning and experimentation within the data science team by exploring new methodologies and technologies.
• Working closely with cross-functional groups, including engineering, product management, and business leaders, to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
• Ensuring that complex technical concepts and insights are clearly communicated to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management and business leaders.

Qualifications

We’re looking for candidates who possess:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience leading a team of data scientists and analysts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong expertise in programming languages such as Python and SQL, and experience with data manipulation and analysis using tools like Pandas, NumPy, or TensorFlow.
• Proficiency in AWS architecture.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to think creatively and strategically to develop innovative solutions to complex business challenges.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
