The Opportunity at Komodo Health

Komodo Health is embarking on an exciting new phase, looking to exponentially impact the US healthcare system through our best-in-class Healthcare Map™ and healthcare insights platforms. The Government and Clinical Research team aims to establish Komodo Health as the premier partner for government entities, aiding healthcare insights and regulatory decision-making using real-world data.

The Director of Government and Clinical Research Data Product will be the pioneer at Komodo Health to operationalize government and research-grade data product development and deployment. You will spearhead the buildout of data product infrastructure and a dedicated team aimed at serving government and regulatory clinical research clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop government-oriented and regulatory, clinical research-grade data products and insights platforms, influencing the Data Product team’s roadmap.
  • Ensure Komodo Health’s data products meet the needs of customers seeking regulatory submissions and real-world data for clinical research inquiries.
  • Oversee the execution of data product-related government contracts.
  • Establish cross-functional processes to support high-impact, customer-led clinical research based on the Healthcare Map.

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of experience in clinical research and data analytics.
  • Extensive experience answering clinical research questions.
  • Proficiency with major commercially available claims-based healthcare data products.
  • Data fluency and comfort with analysis tools, including SQL queries.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to clarify complex issues and communicate needs and goals across teams.
  • Executive presence with experience in leading external customer meetings.
  • Proven leadership in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Ability to effectively build and lead a small team in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • Capacity to assess priorities based on short-term and long-term goals.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with government agencies, particularly in regulatory submissions.
  • Prior experience as a product manager or product owner in a data-centric role at a B2B tech/software company.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and develop multiple solutions.
  • Comfortable working alongside data scientists and engineers.
  • Understanding of U.S. healthcare entities and payment systems, and their impact on claims data.

Compensation at Komodo Health

Our pay range reflects a minimum and maximum that we reasonably expect across all U.S. locations and may span multiple career levels. We factor in job-related skills, experience, location, training, certifications, and market demands. The U.S. national starting annual base pay for this role ranges between $188,000—$262,000 USD. This position may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses based on the Company's discretion as per written agreements or plans.

Komodo Health embraces a hybrid work model prioritizing choice and flexibility for the well-being of our Dragons. Roles may be fully remote, region-specific, or local (commuting distance) to our hubs in San Francisco, New York City, or Chicago, with remote work options.
