Position Overview

We are excited to offer the opportunity to join Autodesk as the Director of Software Engineering specializing in Automation & Artificial Intelligence. In this impactful leadership role, you will spearhead initiatives to enhance our technological efficiencies across the enterprise by incorporating advanced Automation and AI techniques, including generative AI.

This position requires a visionary with a robust track record in leading process automation, managing skilled teams of automation developers and AI experts, and deploying groundbreaking technology solutions that positively affect operational efficiency and productivity.

The selected candidate will be responsible for crafting a comprehensive Automation & AI strategy, promoting data-driven decision-making, optimizing business processes, and fostering a cutting-edge technological infrastructure to meet escalating business demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for Automation and AI in alignment with business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and innovation within the engineering team, ensuring excellence in all projects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to recognize business needs, propose efficient tech solutions, and oversee their implementation.
• Lead the design and architecture of scalable and robust automation frameworks and AI-driven applications.
• Guide the engineering and data science teams in research and experimentation to augment technological capabilities.
• Maintain thorough documentation for Automation & AI systems, including tech specifications, architecture diagrams, and user guides.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and data privacy laws.
• Stay updated with the latest in Automation & AI technologies to maintain competitive edge.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, with a minimum of 5 years in Automation & AI system design and implementation.
• Proven leadership in managing global teams and delivering complex projects efficiently.
• Expertise in AI technologies, programming languages, and modern development methodologies.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to motivate teams and stakeholders towards a common vision.
