Job Description

As a Distinguished Architect at ServiceNow, you'll lead and innovate by integrating Intelligence into our products. Your expertise in deep learning, large language models (LLMs), natural language processing, and conversational assistants will be critical in driving our AI initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product: Work closely with engineering and product teams to incorporate AI technologies into ServiceNow's roadmap, innovate, and replace complex frameworks with scalable AI solutions.
  • Build Elegant Architectures: Develop elegant, maintainable, and scalable architectures that can be enhanced over time.
  • Architect Reusable Components: Design frameworks for reusable components that multiple teams can leverage, such as a conversational assistant framework for the finance industry.
  • Influence Leadership: Champion AI strategies, technological advancements, and industry trends, influencing peers, stakeholders, and leadership to shape AI-driven initiatives.
  • Perform Competitive Analysis: Conduct thorough competitive analysis of various AI products and technologies.
  • Thought Leadership: Share insights at prestigious AI and technology conferences, publish blogs, papers, and patents, and elevate ServiceNow's brand as an AI industry leader.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Master's Degree (PhD preferred) with 14+ years of engineering or AI/ML experience and 8+ years specifically in AI/ML.
  • A proven track record of leading innovative AI research and development projects, with a history of bringing multiple AI products to market.
  • Deep expertise in LLMs, deep learning, NLP, NLU, BERT, GPT, and related AI technologies.
  • The ability to apply first principles thinking, such as writing a neural network with backpropagation in Python, Java, or C++ without relying on existing libraries.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

For positions in the Bay Area, our base pay ranges from $237,800 to $416,200, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation, and benefits. Sales positions offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Note that individual compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications and work location.
