Join Our Team as an Edge AI Computing Solutions Intern

OnLogic is on the lookout for a highly motivated and talented intern to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in evaluating and optimizing AI workloads on various edge computing platforms and architectures. If you have a strong understanding of AI modeling and computer architecture, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

Benchmarking AI Workloads

Evaluate the performance of various AI workloads such as object detection, image classification, and natural language processing on different edge computing platforms. This includes working with CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, and other hardware AI accelerators.

Model Selection and Optimization

Optimize AI models for specific edge computing platforms considering factors like frames per second rate, power consumption, and size constraints. Gain experience in using various lab equipment such as power measurement tools and building custom computer configurations.

Documentation and Presentation

Prepare detailed reports summarizing the findings of the evaluation and optimization efforts. This includes performance benchmarks, recommendations, and trade-offs. Present these results to the team and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of AI algorithms, deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch), and machine learning principles.
• Experience with Python programming and common data science libraries.
• Familiarity with edge computing concepts, hardware architectures, and performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Knowledge of computer vision and/or natural language processing techniques is a plus.

Benefits

The pay for this internship is $16/hour, with up to 20 hours per week commitment during the semester and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
