Job Description

We are seeking a proficient Electrical Design Engineer (Aircraft Interiors) who will be instrumental in:

• Mastering 3D harness design, electrical schematics, and creating comprehensive block diagrams.
• Engineering and assimilating advanced electrical systems that meet strict standards and requirements.
• Utilizing CATIA V5 and PLM software to generate innovative 2D/3D electrical installation and system designs.
• Engaging actively in Design Reviews throughout each phase of the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
• Communicating effectively across all levels with customers, suppliers, and OEMs, ensuring professional exchanges.
• Achieving seamless integration of design elements within the final product.
• Supporting product validation through prototyping, testing, and other methods.
• Contributing to the enhancement of Best Practice guidelines within the team.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• A robust background in Aircraft/Automotive interiors.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or considerable experience backed by an HNC/HND or an equivalent Electrical Apprenticeship qualification.
• Proven prowess in 3D CAD and AutoCAD electrical software suites.
• A precise understanding of tolerances, manufacturing processes, and OEM installation requirements.
• The capability to interpret design drawings and specifications with a keen attention to detail.
• A solid grasp of aerospace quality processes and governance.

Additional Information

This position offers a long-term contract with a competitive salary based on experience. Both Inside and Outside IR35 statuses will be considered.
