Job Description

Our Cyber, EW, and Space Group delivers full-spectrum capabilities to counter multi-domain security threats and prepare for emerging ones.

As a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer, you will support a growing portfolio of analytic capabilities for DoD and IC customers. Your role includes developing and integrating threat models for space systems, creating joint mission thread analyses, and exploring mixed-resolution, multi-domain campaign analyses. Adopting Model-Based Systems Engineering principles, you will work with tools like Cameo Systems Modeler and AFSIM to create robust modeling architectures.

Key responsibilities involve collaborating with subject matter experts, deploying systems engineering and software coding skills, supporting force design and CONOPS development, and presenting technical concepts to diverse audiences. This position requires regular travel to sensitive government sites in locations such as Colorado Springs, Omaha, Albuquerque, Dayton, and the National Capital Region.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Create and present compelling data products with analytically rigorous conclusions.
• Identify and resolve anomalies in simulations, MBSE models, algorithms, and big data.
• Conduct analysis within discrete event simulator frameworks like AFSIM and post-process with tools like Python, R, and Excel.
• Answer challenging questions focused on space systems through quantitative analysis.
• Provide support to subject matter experts advising on methodological and analytical issues.
• Assist with developing architectural and technical communication products.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's; 3 years with a Master's; or equivalent relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent fields such as Operations Research/Mathematics.
• Experience in object-oriented software coding (Python, C++, MATLAB).
• Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering, SysML, and tools like Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.

• Experience in modeling, simulating, and analyzing DoD systems at various levels.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in Cameo Systems Modeler and independent Project Management.
