About Phaidra Phaidra is at the forefront of the future of industrial automation. Today's world is dominated by rigid, monolithic infrastructure. Factories, power plants, buildings, and the like operate as they have for decades - due to the hardcoding of the controls programming. This hardcoding results in thousands of lines of rules and heuristics that dictate how the machines interact with each other. The consequence of this hardcoding is that facilities are stuck in time, an inability to adapt to their environment while their performance gradually declines. Phaidra is designing AI-powered control systems for the industrial sector that allow industrial facilities to continuously learn and improve. Specifically: - We deploy reinforcement learning algorithms to deliver this intelligence, translating raw sensor data into meaningful actions and decisions. - Our focus is on industrial applications, which are often heavily sensorized with quantifiable KPIs - ideal for reinforcement learning. - We empower industry experts (our users) to configure the AI control systems (i.e., agents) without needing to write code. They set the tasks for their AI agents, and we execute these tasks for them. Our team has a proven record of applying AI to some of the most challenging problems. From achieving superior performance with DeepMind's AlphaGo, to reducing the energy needed to cool Google's Data Centers by 40%, we have a deep understanding of AI and its effective application for substantial impact. Phaidra is headquartered in the USA but operates entirely remotely; we do not maintain a physical office. Through our partnership with OysterHR, we recruit staff internationally.
