Manager, Engineering - Python, Snowflake Cloud Database, Chennai-India

Our  technology teams are creating a unified, global, open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure & Snowflake. Our clients worldwide trust the  data and insights to fuel innovation and growth. We're on the hunt for an experienced Cloud Data Warehouse leader to join our Technology hub in Chennai, to develop this platform with the latest cloud technologies pivotal for the business.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data ingestion and processing pipelines using Microsoft technologies
• Suggest solutions to enhance process quality, familiarize with emerging technologies, standards, and best practices in cross-platform development
• Expertise in applying theories and methodologies for innovative solutions
• Actively lead a team of engineers
• Direct teams towards delivering scalable, high quality, flexible, and user-friendly applications/services
• Collaborate with fellow engineering managers, colleagues, and other stakeholders such as program team, product leaders, senior tech leaders, etc.
• Constantly discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies and frameworks to maximize efficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 years of total experience, with at least 10 years in Data warehousing covering Python, Scripting, Core Java Azure Snowflake, Postgres DB, MongoDB, Agile development, Bitbucket, Jenkins
• Significant experience with large data sets and hands-on technology skills to design and build robust data ingestion pipelines using industry-standard frameworks
• Hands-on in configuration management, monitoring, performance tuning
• Strong people management skills to oversee 1-2 agile scrum teams
• Eagerness and quickness to learn new technologies and tools
• Experience on cloud platforms is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving, hands-on engineering skills, and communication skills
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
