Your Role

As an Engineering Manager, your mission will be to:

• Lead a cross-functional team of Backend and Frontend engineers, fostering an inclusive and innovative work environment.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and other stakeholders to define and execute the product roadmap for your team.
• Ensure the development and maintenance of scalable, reliable services that support processing large volumes of data, making it easily accessible and usable.
• Drive technical excellence by adopting best practices in software development and data management.
• Serve as a mentor and coach to team members, supporting their growth and professional development.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and risks to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations, applying insights to continually improve our platform and processes.
• Contribute and make a global impact in our fast-moving tech organization.

Your Heroic Skills

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Proven experience in a leadership role within a technical team, ideally in a fast-paced tech or startup environment.
• Strong background in software development, with hands-on experience in backend (Golang, Python) and frontend (React) technologies.
• Ability to design architecture that meets performance and complexity needs at scale.
• Experience with data management platforms, including knowledge of data processing, storage, and analytics tools.
• A high bar for working with production systems, emphasizing agile software processes, data-driven development, reliability, and disciplined experimentation.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a creative and pragmatic approach to overcoming challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across different teams and disciplines.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• A passion for technology, data, and its potential to drive business success.
• Willingness to work in an international environment and contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace culture.

Nice to Have

• Demonstrated leadership abilities in driving operational excellence and best practices in engineering environments.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with common CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Drone, and Spinnaker.
• Knowledge of standard monitoring, alerting, and logging tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, ELK stack, and distributed tracing.
