Amazon is currently looking for a skilled, business-oriented Engineering Project Manager to guide the expansion of our fulfillment network across Europe. This pivotal role involves managing both capacity and capital planning, as well as overseeing project execution.

About the Role

This position demands a proactive individual with a deep understanding of the intricacies of Amazon Fulfillment Centers, including their design and implementation. As a project lead, you will manage a diverse team, driving the project from inception to completion, encompassing build specifications, vendor relations, and internal coordination.

The successful candidate will be expected to manage the critical path and assist other teams in delivering network capacity on time. Extensive travel (50-85%) across various European locations and occasionally international sites is required. This role can be based out of Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, or Luxembourg.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale engineering projects from planning to launch, including feasibility, design, installation, and support phases.
• Coordinate critical project elements, provide innovative technical solutions, and manage escalations and potential risks.
• Organize and lead weekly meetings with both internal teams and external contractors to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Review technical designs and propose solutions that align with business needs and global standards.
• Collaborate with teams across various departments, including Engineering, Construction, IT, and Procurement, to enhance project outcomes and processes.

Who We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven project management expertise in large, complex environments, particularly in design and deployment phases.
• Experience in leading project teams and managing engineering contractors within operational settings.
• Skills in continuous improvement, process establishment, and the ability to manage without direct authority.
