Join Our Team as a Senior ETL Data Warehouse Engineer at IDEXX

Who We Are Looking For:

We are in search of an experienced ETL Data Warehouse Engineer who has extensive expertise in implementing Snowflake solutions on a large scale. Ideal candidates will have robust experience in both Azure and AWS platforms, focusing on architecture, design, and implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior ETL Data Warehouse Engineer, you will:

• Analyze, design, and develop solutions adhering to industry and organizational best practices.
• Work both independently and as part of a team.
• Develop new applications or migrate existing applications to cloud platforms.
• Interface with various operations and engineering teams.
• Manage projects within an agile team framework as well as in traditional project settings.
• Provide advanced technical expertise in designing, estimating, and coding software applications within scheduled timelines.
• Understand user needs, propose options for solutions, and anticipate critical issues and risks.
• Ensure resolution of issues across the organization and maintain accountability for overall project delivery.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 8 years of industry experience.
• At least 5 years as a Cloud SME involved in large to medium scale projects.
• Over 4 years of experience in design and architecture on cloud data platforms.
• Experience migrating application workloads to cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Databricks; financial services background is a plus.
• 5+ years working with SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Snowflake, data warehouse technologies, and in-memory databases.
• Knowledgeable in building containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, log analytics, and application insights.
• Experience in Site Reliability implementations, Chaos experiments, and various cloud deployment patterns (e.g., Canary Rollouts, Blue-Green deployments).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of handling diverse audiences and facilitating effective discussions.
• Cloud cost optimization know-how.
• Azure Developer Associate or Azure Solution Architect certification is preferred.
