Job Description

Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking an Engineer Systems 4 to support the Joint Force Development Research and Analysis for Joint Staff J7 (JS J-7) contract at our Suffolk, VA Joint Staff Complex.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
• Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
• Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Establishes working relationships and collaborates with USG counterparts to integrate multi-disciplinary projects; provides high-level oversight across projects to ensure consistent approaches, optimize resourcing, and facilitate enterprise-level integration.
• Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
• Able to communicate effectively and clearly presents technical approaches and findings.
• Develops technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

Minimum Qualifications

9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in related field; 7 years of relevant experience with a Master’s in related field; 4 years of relevant experience with a Ph.D. or Juris Doctorate in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years of relevant experience.
