Join our dynamic Data Analytics team, which is part of the Index Data Management group within the FTSE Russell business at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). Role Overview: Factor Analyst

We are seeking a Factor Analyst who will report to a Manager within the Data Analytics team. This role involves developing, maintaining, and monitoring derived data such as Price Earnings Ratios. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely, efficient, and accurate review of derived data during all index review periods and will work with team members on data projects to improve and optimize workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creation and Maintenance of High-Quality Equity Fundamental Factors
  • Create and document methodologies behind analytics, working with Research and external clients
  • Specify requirements and collaborate closely with Technology for implementation
  • Test output of data derivations ensuring accuracy of calculations
  • Wrangle data from internal and external sources into standardized data models
  • Create and monitor quality control checks on raw and derived data
  • Respond efficiently to client questions, providing root cause analysis and action plans
  • Assist in producing regular reports and develop new products in data and technology

Communication & Partner Engagement

  • Produce data visualizations and data quality reports for management and partners
  • Document technical requirements to ensure smooth implementation with technology partners
  • Deliver clear and accurate analysis to aid partner discussions
  • Build trust with partners by meeting and understanding their requests in a timely and professional manner

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles, and fundamental and valuation analysis
  • Experience with market data, including corporate actions, currency changes & common market identifiers
  • Solid grasp of data management theories with 3-5 years of practical experience
  • Advanced computer literacy including MS Office, programming languages (R, Python), and SQL
  • Customer-focused with understanding of investment manager workflows
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proven team player
  • Degree level education or equivalent
