Job Description

Legal & General Investment Management’s Anaplan team is seeking a new Financial Data Modeller to support the Financial Systems Development Manager in designing, building, and testing current and new Anaplan Data Models.

As part of the Financial Planning and Analytics Function, you will collaborate closely with internal financial experts and business leaders to plan LGIM's annual budget, update and adapt policies, provide monthly and quarterly forecasting, and analyze channel profitability.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to all aspects of Anaplan development including requirements gathering, design and build, UAT, governance, and documentation.
  • Maintain and develop the current Anaplan infrastructure, including lists, modules, dashboards, actions, and other model settings.
  • Build and develop Anaplan models from scratch, modify existing ones, prototype new ideas, and translate 2D spreadsheet models into Anaplan multi-dimensional models.
  • Liaise with Finance Managers and other Anaplan users to understand and develop models meeting their requirements.
  • Stay updated with the latest product releases on the Anaplan platform, adopting desirable functionalities in line with best practices.
  • Develop standard documentation for applications and provide continuous improvement support post model rollout.
  • Provide guidance to team members on technical configurations, testing processes, etc.
  • Train and assist users on Anaplan functionalities and best practices.

Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience in building and maintaining financial models.
  • Knowledge and experience in using planning, modeling, or other data technologies to provide business solutions.
  • Preferably, experience with Anaplan tools.
  • Proficiency in Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, or equivalent technologies.
  • Knowledge or experience in the financial services industry (advantageous).
